From my understanding, social media is about communication amongst people through any media which can make people communicate. Facebook, myspace, forum and etc are some of the examples of social media. the traditional social media includes newspapers, magazines and also television which also can let people interact and put their thoughts.

Naturally its affect our life and also lives around us. This media highly give impact on our daily life. For example, if someone wants to buy foodstuff, she might think twice which supermarket offers better price and of course she will talks with friends and then she will decide which supermarket to go. This is what we called as social media. Advertisements made by certain supermarket may affected her choice of buying things and probably influenced by friends through phone calling or they discussed through facebook.More or less, social media is about what people say and their perceptions after tried out certain things and then they make a judgment.

Social media is identical involved in business. Its all about customers feedback about their products. If the feedback was bad, trouble is waiting for the company. It's because, the customer will tell their friends and friends will continue telling a bad story from mouth to mouth and that's what the real thing happen now. So social media play a very important role in our lives and also personal life. its can blackmail you anytime and its also can make u on top of the world.

Personaly i feel it's good to have social media since it can lead us to a better way of life and also guide us to make a wise decisions/selections. It makes my life more lively and cheerful.
